Dear Cynthia,

Thankyou for the clarifications about the dating problems on Hebrew word
forms.

You noted that Isaiah might not be 8th century BCE, but of a later period
and that the possibility exists that an anonymous author, claiming to be
Isaiah, may have drawn some of his information from the book of Kings. Can
you elaborate on this line of reasoning further ? When do you think Isaiah
was written and why ?

Cynthia:
"Your attempt to date the book of Isaiah on the basis of "what the author
knew"--how do you know that his knowledge is of historical events, rather
than of literature ?? What if his knowledge of the past derived from the
book of Kings or a similar work ? In this case he could be considerably
later."

Thanks,

All the best,

Walter
