Hi Jodi,

Dito, it was nice meeting you, too.

I had a look at your wiki. I liked it quite a lot and would have recommended
it for "wiki of the month" if it hadn't been in July, already :-) [1].

Your wiki is well organized and its advantage is clearly communicated.

Your buglist is quite small, that's a good sign. Unfortunately, the ones
there I either did not understand due to a lack of links (e.g., the one
about forms [2]) or I did not see the relation to SMW (e.g., the one about
Twitter).

An update to a newer version of SMW might be useful if you have bugs in RDF
or Bibtex exports, although it would require to update most of the other
extensions, also. Also, MediaWiki provides since 1.17 a feature called
ResourceLoader which is needed by some newer extensions. Maybe interesting,
if you ever ran into performance problems: SMW since 1.6 supports a
connection to a triple store in order to have faster queries.

Regarding ideas: I am wondering if one could connect AkaWiki somehow to
existing publication databases. E.g., in order to easily import a
publication into the wiki or to display external information about a
publication. Does DBLP not provide information about publications through a
SPARQL store?

1) There are extensions which can query a sparql store and display the
information within a wiki, e.g., [3].
2) Or, if publication information is available as Linked Data and
publications are tagged with their resolvable URIs in the wiki, one could
browse other publications and maybe see whether a cited/citing paper is
included in AkaWiki, already. We have developed such an extension, but it's
functionality is quite basic, yet [4].

I hope this helps a bit. If you have any other questions, you can also just
come to me and ask (now, that I am here close by ;-)

Best,

Benedikt
