Thanks Pascale,
I figured that was probably the case. It's one of my favourite songs on Cut; Tessa's bass really drives the whole thing along. While I also like The Raincoats version, there's other songs (Off Duty Trip, No Side to Fall In) on their LP that I much prefer.
Best,
Dan

Palmolive wrote it, she'd obviously left the Slits by the time it appeared
on "Cut," but she was their for the Raincoats' version. I know she's
also responsible for "FM," and the two songs seem to share a similar
style. I don't think any of the other Slits material is primarily hers, but
anyone know about other tunes on the first Raincoats album?

It may well be common knowledge to all but me, but can anyone tell me how this song came to be recorded on the debut albums by both The Slits and The Raincoats? Was it something to do with the Palmolive connection? Or just a case of one band covering the other's song? As far as I can tell, there are no writing credits given on either record. Maybe Shirely can help?
Thanks,
Dan
