The total life cycle process involving cement (the bonding agent), 
digging the lime stone, firing the limestone, crushing, bagging, 
transportation, placement, and later disposal is responsible for 
approximately 8% of global warming.  The new Artic Report on global 
warming should make all of us reassess our use of materials and 
petrochemicals in our lives.
