I have grown lily of the valley for several years. Mine are in heavy shade
under conifer tree. They get no special attention, but they have thrived
for a long time. The soil is only slightly acid from the build-up of duff.
They do like watering now and then.

I have tried to grow lillies of the valley several times and they never took
off. They are in light shade and the soil has been fertilized with horse
manure but it started out as forrest soil under trees. Any suggestions as
to how to get them to grow? jerry in southern indiana
