[NAFEX] holes in bark

Now I know what been getting at my apple tree - it looks just like the one
on that webpage!  Now I need to figure out what to do.

Yestrday I found seven holes in the bark of a pecan tree.About the size of
pencil eraser, in a more or less 

horizontal pattern, five feet from the ground.I also found the same on a
black walnut close by. Any ideas ?
