Richard,

I have one Enterprise here growing in my garden in suburban Maryland in
Beltsville. The tree, on M7, has grown vigorously on clay soil in a
central leader shape, with good crotch angles; it has been easy for me
to prune with my limited experience. It fruited for the first time this
year (this would be its third or fourth year, I cannot remember how old
the whip was when planted). The fruit was ripe a bit earlier than I
expected, but this was true of everything this year. Straight from the
tree it tasted good, but I gather that Enterprise develops in flavor in
storage. No sign of scab or fireblight, and I know that latter was
around (my neighbor's pear was badly attacked). We are near a lot of red
cedars, and the tree developed a little cedar apple rust, but not much.
My William's Pride, for what it's worth, had no sign of disease. I also
have a two year old Grimes Golden on M111. It has grown well and has
shown no sign of disease but is too young to fruit.
