I'm curious how Evans is for fresh eating as well.

How would you rate Surefire's taste for fresh eating? How does it compare
to other tarts in the fresh eating category?

My sweet cherries on Mahaleb did crappy as well.........
I planted 10 Black Golds on Mahaleb, zone 4 Maine, in 2006.
4 0f the 10 outright CROAKED, and the other 6 look like hell.
Cummins Nursery has Black Gold on Mazzard.
I bought 4 from Steve a couple weeks ago.
I also bought a Black Gold on G5 (for comparison) from Raintree, because my
Bentons on G5 did awesome.
Meanwhile, the Surefires and Evans are doing well.
