[NAFEX] Summer Apples

I'm learning a lot from this list. It was mentioned earlier that apples 
need cool nights just before ripening. Could I assume then that summer 
apples would not be a good idea here? We're usually hot and humid in the 
summer, with very warm nights at least through August.
