[NAFEX] Red skinned or red fleshed pears?

I recently did a little reading on the red sports, and got the idea they might be
easier to grow than the regular, because of this lower vigor. (Slightly more
dwarfed, easier branch training, possibly better fireblight resistance, etc.) Did I
make the correct assumption? Or do they have other problems which would make the
show-stopping visuals not worth the bother?

seem to be less efficient than pure green ones, making the trees slower growing and
less well branched, in many cases.

ever have seen one. One I am interested in is Red Rogue as I read that it is
suppose to be a good keeper. I have Birne Red (red fleshed) but it also have not
produced yet. Thanks-Ray
