[NAFEX] gala apple

My Gala tree (Scarlet Gala) had wonderful sweet crisp apples, and I assume that the branches and leaves were equally sweet, as the neighbor's cattle came over and tore the tree to pieces, eating everything that they could get in their mouths, and destroying the tree. They ignored all the other trees in my orchard--they had to walk past many of them to get to the Gala tree.
I just planted another one.

Would you say that your Gala was much better tasting than the ones
available in the supermarkets? I know my tree ripened reliance peach
was as good or better than anything I've ever gotten from the
supermarket. Lucky for you, that your Gala's perfomed so well as now
you won't have to sit in the corner with Jack. BTW, did your
great-uncle like the Galas too?
