[NAFEX] Peach Question

-25 is about the same range as Reliance peach.
I had an uncle in Iowa who had a chance peach seedling that made a
beautiful tree and survived -30 F, but never fruited. Later I found
out that peach flower buds aren't as hardy as the leaf buds, which was
why the tree never fruited - the flower buds never made it, even though
the tree itself survived.

Hello all,

I have made contact with a grower in Finland who is growing Maira, and
he has doubts that it would be at all hardy to -40F, as it wasn't bred
for those types of temperatures. Southern Finland rarely gets below
-25F. 'Super-hardy' may be a relative term.

I don't believe it is available in North America as of yet.
