[NAFEX] Stacking M27 apple in container

MessageNot a problem. When you wrote stack, I was thinking about the potted fruit (and other) trees I have to stack along my garage walls each winter. It's one of Autumn's least pleasant tasks.

I stake potted trees by pushing the stake down through the rootball within an inch or two of the trunk. I often use three-four foot fiberglass electric fence poles as they slide in real easy. Every now and then I pot something that's too wobbly so I but a small clay pot at the bottom of the multi gallon plastic one upside down and still the stake down through the drainage hole. You shouldn't have to do this too often, if you do, you're over potting your trees. But it works well with newly potted bareroot stock. The clay pot stabilizes the base of the stake, you tie the stake low on the trunk, then again up higher.

The tripod-in-the-pot technique you mention works well for eggplants, etc.. I've got several tripods for currently for potted sweet peas and morning glories.

I am growing M.27 apples in a container. I would like to stack the tree. In the ground, I would just set the stack in 2 feet for stability. What have other done to keep the stack stable in a container? Tripod at the base within the pot? Other ideas? Thanks.
