Dear Folks,
Long ago Berton Rouche wrote an essay, originally published in
"The New Yorker" and later in a collection of essays called "The Medical
Detectives" which (quoting from a website promoting the book)
"Uncovers the mystery of the poisonous tomatoes (grafted onto
jimson weed stock!)
Be careful what you graft tomatoes onto and never let the host
plant develope any foliage of its own. dylan

Some of the wild species of Solanum are quite poisonous. Is there the
possibility of the grafted tomato taking up some of this toxin?
