I ate my first black currants this week, from a Russian seedling, they are
at least a week ahead of the Titania and Minaj. I have the heaviest crop of
black currants I have ever had this year, Most of the plants are spreading
out and bending low under the weight.

I will have "Open House" on Saturday, the 7th of July. We will have black
currant ice cream, angel food cake with black currants and iced tea made from
the leaves of black currants. Hope you can make it.

We will meet at the Village Ice Cream Parlour and Restaurant on Rt 11 just
north of Northumberland at 12:00 Noon and proceed to the farm about 12:30.
Northumberland is about 60 miles north of Harrisburg and 10 miles south of Rt
80. The tour is open to all who want to attend, and lasts about 2 - 2 and a
half hours. Bring the family and friends.

I would appreciate a message letting me know how many are attending (want to
make sure there is enough ice cream).

See you on the Seventh. If you can not make this date contact me and maybe we
can arrange another date.
