You can put it back the way it was. I'll update CVS HEAD the next time
The idea was to permit building FreeTDS in a Win32 environment that has
Microsoft's header files in its regular include path. By using hard-coded
paths in the FreeTDS source code, there was no chance of accidentally
picking up the wrong headers.
But, OK, maybe it wasn't an act of unbridled brilliance. If it gets in
your way, it's bound to get in others'. Might as well fix it.
