[freetds] Windows Question

Right, I was a bit confused on my end as well as far as whether I was using
named pipes or named instances, but it's definitely a "named instance" or
just "instance". So I reference it in my PHP connection string the following
way:

$host = "server\instance";
mssql_connect($host, $user, $pass);

So... the question is can I use named instances or are those not supported
along with named pipes?

Frank gave me a few tips that I'll try out this morning, but let me know if
I'm wasting my time. Unfortunately, I am stuck with referencing my server
this way and I also can't change the way I connect via PHP either.

Thanks for all your help... and Frank, didn't mean to go behind your back or
anything, I'm just desperate :)

Thanks guys,

Patrick
