I'm not sure. I'm not sure why make decided it needed to build the
freebcp man page, because it's provided in the tarball:
$ pax -zf freetds-0.64.tar.gz | grep 1$
You *could* download txt2man from almost anywhere, and maybe that would
help, but I'd guess whatever made make(1) think it needs to build man
pages will also mess up other things.
Another option is to "touch freebcp.1" (and so on), telling make(1) not to
build them. The overall build would then work, and you could copy the man
pages, should you so desire, to your dreamhost server.
I've heard good things about dreamhost btw. Hope it works out for you.
