I just committed a slightly smarter osql that should work on your machine.
 Look for revision 1.4 in CVS.  You don't need a snapshot tarball; you can
just fetch that one script from SourceForge.  

I don't know that osql will help fix anthing on your machine (although it
might) but thank you for your help in making it more useful.
