Thankz martin and freddy77

Its working fine without the error as i had stated. I used the following
command:
>g++ -I/export/myprog/include -o connect client.cc
/usr/local/lib/libctiwf.a -lsocket -lnsl

this created an object file connect.o, but the following was the error when
i tried to execute it as
>./connect

error was :
>ld.so.1: ./connect: fatal: libstdc++.so 6:open failed: No Such file or
directory

so can you please help with the above error.......kindly let me know if i
need to set my PATH for the same..

Thank once agian...

We are a bit OT here.
You MUST use g++ to link C++ programs, not gcc
