David A. Wheeler wrote an interesting essay where he argued "use X or sink"
isn't true if X is any one particular licence, but it is true if X means "a
licence compatible with the GNU GPL":

...and then later went to a lot of relicensing effort to make their code
distributable under the GPL.

(They changed from MPL to a tri-licence of GPL+MPL+LGPL - so recipients of
the software have the option of which terms they follow when
redistributing.)
