[cc-community] CC Dragged Into Lawsuit

IANAL -- but there doesn't seem to be any merit to their beef with CC.

My feeling is that the family has no understanding of Creative Commons' role
in this.

Incidentally, I feel that this is a particularly timely news item
considering our recent discussions about Non-Commercial.

The heart of this suit lies in the fact that this woman's likeness was used
commercially without her permission.

If the photographer had used a NC license this lawsuit and problem wouldn't
have arose.

In some way, I think this is probably Flickr's and Virgin's responsibility,
rather than CC's or the photographer's.
