I do see samba-swat in the list under
System Settings
Add/Remove Applications
Server Configuration Tools
samba-swat - The Samba SMB server configuration program
I place a check in the box to the left,
however when I attempt to "Update", the system
prompts for the Enterprise AS Disk 1 in a continuous loop. (sigh)
The command line "rpm -qa | grep samba" returns:
samba-3.0.6-2.3E
redhat-config-samba-1.0.16-2
samba-client-3.0.6-2.3E
samba-common-3.0.6-2.3E
Is there a SWAT RPM for kernel-smp-2.4.21-20.EL ?
In the meantime, I'll vi /etc/samba/smb.conf
(which was copied over from Redhat 8.0) and monitor using Webmin.
I downloaded it from http://www.webmin.com
RPM suitable for Redhat, Caldera, SuSE, Mandrake or MSC Linux, 8387 kB
http://www.webmin.com/download.html
Thanks,

samba-swat is one of the RPMs in redhat 3 AS. It looks like it was reintroduced in update 3 which just came out this month.

In the Redhat 9.0 days there was
Samba Web Administration Tool (a.k.a. SWAT)
web based application that allows
an administrator to monitor users
and an editor for updating
the /etc/samba/smb.conf file.
Does anyone know of a similar
application I can use with
Redhat Enterprise AS?
Thanks,
