The Guardian's arts section takes on "Messthetics Greatest Hits".
It's a sadly all-male-but-two[?] assemblage (I'm saving up
X-chromosome tracks for a CD to be titled "Let's Talk About Prams"),
but they're definitely kindred spirits...
The print version of the article presumably comes with all sorts of
neverbeforeseen photos of the bands. The one photo with the online
article shows Frannie and Cristeen Isherwood, the late, great Nikki
Sudden [pre-Swell Maps], Christine Holt [!], and Steve Treatment...
(Despite the striking resemblance to Ms. Holt Chrissie Hynde's last
involvement with Steve was when he'd been invited to join the Moors
Murderers a few months earlier.)
Bytheway, author Bob Stanley has quickly become the worlds' most
erudite trainspotter for obscure/antique keyboards and electronics.
It's all great fun to read if you have any fondness at all for those
wheezy keyboards of yore...
