I should add a correction to my comments
here - the first Creatures CD was, of course, in the early 1980s not
early 1990s as I said (see http://www.thecreatures.com ).
An amazing
cover of "Wild Thing" (The Troggs? I don't remember.) Simple voice and
percussion - Budgie must be one of the best percussionists ever IMHO
and Siouxsie simply broke all the rules and produced some of the most
haunting tracks in existence. As an aside - with Siouxsie playing up to the press (during promo of the first Creatures EP she said to NME - I think - "Call me a Dyke if you want to") and my noticing that Toyah's eye's were tinted blue on her album cover I wrote the following poem (I was an itinerate poet in the early 1980s).
