Disabling the gcc frontend can still be done, only now it's done via
--without-llvmgcc and --without-llvmgxx. Please be more careful when
removing functionality and make sure it really isn't there. ;)
Also, I'm wondering if it might be better to put the query for Clang in
PREPARE so that the user doesn't end up downloading the clang sources if
they choose 'n' (add an if-then in DETAILS based on the answer to the
query in PREPARE?).
