I believe he is referring to devel-merged-gcc and devel-xorg-modular and
of course there's devel-texlive branches.
Now to do some clarifications on these branches:
devel-merged-gcc - this is being discussed how best to make the
transition - if you have suggestions post them
to
sm-discuss in the appropriate thread, among
this
is the argument if we should put gmp and
mpfr
into the spell or not.
devel-texlive - this requires some extra work with CONFLICTS and
possibly deprecations because as it stands texlive-texmf
installs most
of CTAN(if not all of it at that), this is
just grunt
work. The spells install fine and work fine.
devel-xorg-modular - this holds ONLY things that break, anything else is
at the discretion of the developer committing to
