They don't imho. You can't find it in the requirements, I think it just
links against libodbc.so because qt-x11 does. I just tried to cast
camstream, and /usr/bin/camstream also links on libodbc, although I
don't find it in is dependencies or in configure script and I really
don't see any reason why it should use it.
I have no idea whether both spells can be use at the same time without
the symlink and moreover if it makes sense.
