I used --personal-digest-preference because it worked, somehow those
options aren't really working as the manual suggests, at least setting
the preference does in no way affect the defaults used by gpg. I'm not
sure if I never tried --digest-algo or if it didn't work, I gave up
understand the weird ways the gpg commandline tools work a long time
ago.
