If you’ve done your PDC and would like to hone your design skills, Rowe is
running a free Advanced Design Day at the Blue Mountains Organic Community
Gardens in Katoomba. This will run from 9am to 3.30pm on Saturday 21 May.
BYO lunch. Email the Institute if you’re interested in coming along.
*PERMACULTURE DIPLOMAS*
We’ve also been working closely with a number of new Permaculture Diploma
applicants:
*Mari Korhonen*, from Finland, who has a great deal of experience in
agriculture and land rehabilitation, as well as working as a mediator using
non-violent communication;
*Chisa Uetsuki,* who has pioneered permaculture in Japan;
And *Tina Lymberis*, who has pioneered permaculture in Greece.

*THE PROBLEM IS THE SOLUTION*
Focusing on Social Permaculture, Lis Bastian has been working hard on
developing a Solutions Media Service, called *The Big Fix*. It’s about
taking a permaculture approach to news media and looking at stories through
a solutions lens. You can actually read about Tina Lymberis’s work already
at The Big Fix

The website is still being developed but there have already been over 3,000
solutions stories shared on social media.
