The slugs are edible, too, but I'm not exactly sure how palatable. Miss
Snail Pail (http://misssnailpail.org/), a slug and snail exterminator that
eats the mollusks she removes from gardens, when I asked her about eating
slugs said:

I never got a chance to try it out, though, I kept forgetting about the
snails at the purging stage and they'd dry up and aestivate on me.
