Thank you for your very informative and long mail Chris,
I just have one remark to the following sentence :
Tiananmen was not particularly exceptional. Governments all over the
world have a history of such acts to maintain their power. Just look at
what is happening in >Syria at the moment.
I am not at all certain what is happening in Syria at the moment. Some
sources blame all the deaths not on Asad but rather on the Qatar army and
Special Nato Forces that have invaded Syria. And they may be right. Syria is
the last piece of the puzzle needed to surround Iran completely so that that
country can be bombed into the stone age with impunity. To make sure that
the native Iranians can not escape the killing fields.
Trouble is that you can no longer believe anything you see on the news.
Remember the fall of Tripoli and the joy of the local population over the
fall of Gaddafi? That rejoicing mass of Libyan flag waving people was filmed
in Bombay, India. In Libya Gaddafi was very popular for a good many reasons
and with his removal the country is now prey to mass murder, ethnic
cleansing and mass torture on an enormous scale. All happening under the
radar of regular news.
