International Conference on Kyusei Nature Farming
The International Conferences on Kyusei Nature Farming were held seven
times in 6 continents. The objectives of the conference were to
introduce, promote and spread the concept of Kyusei Nature Farming and
the technology of Effective Microorganisms (EM) into the world. The
first conference was held in Thailand in 1989 and the last one was in
New Zealand in 2002. Since the first conference, we have been conducting
extension activities of Kyusei Nature Farming and EM technology with our
cooperative organizations in different countries.
Kyusei Nature Farming is known to many people in the world. The
information on Kyusei Nature Farming is distributed to more than 50
countries in the world through APNAN office in Bangkok, Thailand.
Database for the Past Conferences on Kyusei Nature Farming
INFRC published the proceedings of each international conference on
Kyusei Nature Farming. Now an online database is developed for these
conferences. All presentations are published in the proceedings. We hope
this database will be of value to all interested people.
All proceedings are also available in print.
International Nature Farming Research Center (INFRC)
Kyusei Nature Farming
INFRC believes that Nature Farming is a method of producing
food for the future which can satisfy the five requirements given below.
This is based on the basic principles of Nature Farming, which are
"Respect Nature and Conform to Its Laws" and "Allow the Living Soil to
Exhibit Its Great Potential Abilities." In addition, the technology of
Effective Microorganisms (EM) currently promoted as a vital component
technology in Nature Farming was introduced in the late 1980s.
The five basic principles of Nature Farming are as follows:
1. To produce foods which can sustain and promote human
health.
2. To be beneficial economically and mentally to both
the producers and consumers.
3. To be practicable by anyone, with durability.
4. To be responsible for an environmental integrity,
paying respect to nature.
5. To be responsible for the production and supply of
provisions in such a manner to meet the growth of population.
To establish this farming method, INFRC is conducting
research and developing various technologies as well as spreading the
developed technologies worldwide.
We use the term “Kyusei Nature Farming” abroad, where the
word Kyusei means "saving the world" in order to distinguish it from
other natural farming systems.
