Hello folks,
here are some links to the types of articles that I am looking for
related to the history of organic agriculture:
http://www.ibiblio.org/ecolandtech/orgfarm/issues-and-news/issues/definition-of-organic.CPDGPPLMOPF
The Codex Proposed Draft Guidelines for the Production,
Processing, Labeling and Marketing of Organically Produced
Foods, Alinorm 97/22A, define organic agriculture as: "A holistic
production management system which promotes and enhances
agroecosystem health, including biodiversity, biological cycles, and
soil biological activity. It emphasizes the use of management practices
in preference to the use of off-farm inputs. This is accomplished by
using, where possible, cultural, biological and mechanical methods, as
opposed to using synthetic materials, to fulfil any specific function
within the system."
