Subject: [SANET-MG] Carbon Credits for Compost?!
To: SANET-MG@LISTS.IFAS.UFL.EDU
Whether or not you agree with cap-and-trade for reducing carbon emissions,
IF there is going to be cap and trade, we need to make sure that composting
and anaerobic digestion are recognized for their value in reducing
greenhouse gases (mostly by avoiding methane emissions).
The House bill omitted composting and AD, and we are working hard to assure
that the same thing does not happen with the Senate version. Please take a
minute to read and sign this petition to help us win carbon credits for
composting and anaerobic digestion.

Some additional info on composting and climate change can be found on our
website: http://www.compostingcouncil.org/education/resources.php
Please forward this message as you see fit. I'd like to see 1000 names on
this petition.
Thanks!
Cary
