Why raised beds? ..... do you have gophers.....poor soil conditions?
Another alternative is to create a rain harvesting earth work to collect
rain and graywater to water your veggies with. Why make it complicated?

Subject: [permaculture] Walls for raised garden beds
I am looking for advice on what sustainable, low cost techniques could be
used for constructing a fair number of raised garden beds 1-2 feet in
height. I am thinking cob or rammed earth may be options, but am concerned
about their longevity when exposed to the elements. Searching the web has
not turned up anything definitive yet. Any suggestions or success stories?
