When I am in the tropics I eat a few paw-paw seeds to kill intestinal
parasites that I may pick up - particularly worms. I eat four or five a day
and have never suffered any ill effects.

Further to what Jordan says, PFAF says the seeds contain toxic
alcaloids, and are emetic (i.e., make you barf):

Can I eat the seeds of the paw paws now that the fruit stage has gone
by (which I missed..) I am able to pick up some of the dried up pods
with seeds. Are they ok to eat?
