Very famous in UK and EU especially for its extraordinary capacity for
causing wind (gas?) in your basic human intestine. I seem to remember George
Sobol fermented some into beer and even that was dramatically exo-gaseous in
human host, maybe these people have got a non-gassing variety/ different
gastro-intestinal flora and fauna?
Also, and this ties into the Comfrey thread, I have a tendancy not to plant
things I can't/have difficulty killing, I've seen veg gardens transformed
into comfrey patches by the combination of rotovator and comfrey root. We
have Jerusalem artichokes here in a concrete container as a part of the grey
water treatment, just for fun and their form. I'm maybe exagerating a bit
but.....
