DESCRIPTION:
Join us for an inspiring full day field immersion workshop in Dimond Park
We will explore a holistic ecological approach to identifying and
understanding Northern California's unique climate, weather, soil,
landforms, watersheds, and native wildlife. Emphasis is on observation
of natural characteristics, discussing interrelationships and
sustainability, and practicing hands-on learning techniques in an
amazing environment. In the workshop, you will:
*Participate in easy-to-follow bioregional map-making of your own life-place.
*Explore native plants and native habitats that coexist with urban
surroundings.
*Undertake new environmental teaching exercises.
*Acquire skills to share with students, colleagues, and friends.
*Observe and discuss native habitat restoration activities in Dimond Park.
