Is there a formula for determining a ratio of these plants to
others, not nitrogen-fixing, optimum for well-planned permaculture systems on
an acre of land?
This assumes typical homestead land use with self-sufficiency features built
in. Also assuming
minimum or no external nitrogenous inputs such as biomass, manures or
industrial, food-industry or farm
byproducts (spoiled hay, grain, soy meal or sileage).
Also, considering variety of N2-fixing bacteria strains appropriate for
various plant varieties and the strengths
and perisitence of colonies of these on a given piece of land, how much
diversity of N2-fixing plant material is advisable?
