This weekend was our OKC Permaculture Weekend
Workshop taught by Dan and Cynthia Hemenway of
Barking Frogs Permaculture.
http://www.barkingfrogspermaculture.org . It was a
great experience, although very exhausting. Our
schedule was: Friday night, 6:30 - 10:30,
Saturday, 8:30 AM to 10:30 PM, Sunday 9 AM 50 6
PM. 19 people showed up and we did good work.
The design site was our property, and after lots
of slides and a morning of lecture and discussion,
the group reviewed the present draft of my design
report and were divided into four teams. Each team
took a part of the draft and after a site walk and
presentation, went to work. We got a lot of
really good ideas out of the workshop, and the
group is interested in continuing our relationship
and work on a "barefoot permaculture" program to
help people design their own properties. Everyone
seemed very satisfied with the experience,
although everybody was also pretty exhausted. But
it was like the tiredness you get after useful
manual labor, there was a good feeling in the
midst of the tiredness.
