Subject: [permaculture] Water buffalo in permaculture systems

Where I live, island of Trinidad, water buffalos have been used a long time
as draft animals, especially in sugar cane fields and rice paddies. I
remember an organic farmer saying that he used to drink buffalo milk in his
childhood. The animals have of course been largely replaced by tractors and
other heavy machines.

Sir,
I am a veterinarian with an interest in water buffalo. After retiring
from practice, I would like to take my knowledge of water buffalo and
medicine (for several years my patients were milking cows in New York
State) and help those in rural undeveloped areas employ these worthy beasts.
