Subject: [permaculture] OT Norwegian traditional fiddle music
I heard a recording of some Norwegian folk songs with fiddle accompaniment
and I am wondering where I might find more instrumental music of this genre
(solo or with group but emphasizing the fiddle part). Maybe someone here who
speaks Norwegian could locate CD's of this amazing music. I would actually
like to to find recordings made by the fiddle player in this piece:
Singer: Sondre Bratland
Song: "Av Alle Gleder"
probably on some CD by Bratland
this is the most beautiful fiddle music I have ever heard; it's hard to
think of it as just Norwegian as it sounds Scotch, Irish or Southern
Apallachian - its sort of the prototype for this kind of sound
