I've been in contact with a good man who grows and sells lots of
different varieties of sea buckthorn. I am in a similar environment to
you, and he was recommending the Russian varieties. You can see his

References, descriptions of the subspecies and their habitats,
and commercial or other sources of plants, all would be most helpful.
This is a really interesting and I think important species in its early
stages of domestication.
