would it work to build a woodsmoke scrubber for home heating use
something like a device that introduces air into the smokestream before
exiting the chimney,
contains all gases and particulate matter and pumps it into a vat of water,
like a hookah
then into successive identical vats untill all components of smoke are
dissolved in water.
The vats are purged periodically with all liquids introduced into a
remediation system;
various filtration materials and components could be involved at various
stages of the purification process.
anyone with chemistry and environmental science background have any thoughts
on this?
from a previous post it seems that the worst pollutants in wood smoke are
various carcinogens and NOx
(is this nitric oxide?)
