Hi
Australia goes from tropics to damn cold Tasmania, due to global warming
and mass death and destruction forecast, the further north you go could
result in invasion from the North, namely Asia, although this will depend on
the nuclear war we will have with China in about 15 years time, my suggestion
would be to start with one in South Eastern N.S.W. around the Bega area,
There is still a little bit of bush left, it is a convergence of three zones,
close to beach and mountains, and you are relatively close to main population
centres, Melbourne, Canberra, Sydney, to attract attention and publicity, the
only worry you have here is the weakening off the Gulf Stream creating a mini
Ice Age

Ralph Watson, President, and I just talked and once again I suggested
Australia as the site for an EcoVillage after the first two that are "in the
works".
My Aussie friend of many years (dual citizenship) is currently conducting
some business in Nambucca Head.
The GEV website will soon be updated.
With your interest in permaculture, are you in the vicinity of a suitable
location for an EcoVillage - see the concept at the GEV site.
Any other Aussies on this list have suggestions for GEV locations?
We (family) are going to the Cook Islands, NZ and Aus. in June; we would
like to look at sites.
(How cold will it be then?)
