Hi All,
I am looking into buying a small urban organic farm in Austin. The
farmhouse has some asbestos shingle (outer covering of the house) which is
being replaced. If the asbestos fibres get onto the soil, it is possible
to get them airborne where they can be inhaled by people and animals which
can cause health problems. Does anyone have any idea if this stuff will
eventually break down or if it will in any way affect plants or wildlife if
left in the soil? Can it be composted?
