Ciao Kelly,
ok, but then what is the difference with the Random Assemblies method? just
the bubbles/circles?
Ciao
Antonio
Cut three circles of cardboard each circle about three inches smaller than
the next, Fasten the three circles together in the middle so that they
freely move one above the other. On the top and bottom circles write down
elements ie house, pig, orchard, garden, pond, windbreak, windmill etc. On
the middle circle write down prepositions such as over, under, around,
inside, beside, across, and etc. Spin the circles randomly and then read
from top to bottom. An example "House beside pond". You could also get
"house inside pond". No matter how far fetched the idea, derived from this
exercise, treat it as if it were a serious consideration. It helps one
think outside of the envelope. It is fun to use with students or other
groups of people to see how many ideas come from unlikely combinations.
