Hello, That time of the year again when we are sourcing plant
material for the coming years plantings. This year I have a project (actually
been going now since 1996) where I am establishing our third planting of Honey
Locust (Gleditsia triacanthos)
in a mixed species Agroforestry/pasture alley system. In the past we have used
G. triacanthos var. Inermis
(thornless). My research has indicated that the “Millwood”
variety is also “unarmed” and has the high sugar/yield attributes together
with an upright form (long term timber) that make it a viable variety for
