Subject: [permaculture] Short Notice - Bill Mollison to Speak in Santa Fe November 15th, 2003
Date: Sun, 02 Nov 2003 17:40:07 -0700
The Permaculture Credit Union, Ecoversity and the Earthworks Institute
are pleased to present a one day course with Bill Mollison, the creator
of permaculture, who will be in Santa Fe, New Mexico on Saturday,
November 15th,2003.
The content of the seminar will focus primarily on the current Pinon
pine die-off in the region. Bill will be addressing the questions of
whether this is the indicator of a wider eco-system collapse or a
eco-correction, what the impact upon other inter-dependent species might
be, and then helping to design both short-term and long-term design
strategies and solutions. In addition Bill will also look at the state of
permaculture on the planet and what the most exciting new developments
and projects are.
This is a unique opportunity to learn from Bill and to develop a deeper
understanding of how a permaculture design perspective can add a new
dimension to our understanding of how the natural world is ordered and
ways that we can act in harmony with natural systems to heal the land.
The event will be held at Camp Stoney Conference Center outside Santa Fe
and a fee of $50 US will be charged. Space is limited so early
reservations are strongly suggested. The program will begin at 9:30 AM
and continue until 4:30 PM. Attendees should provide their own bag
lunches. Coffee, tea, and water will be provided on site.
